From 1987 I have worked for all chain parties in the floriculture industry, from grower (Decorum), auction (BB Aalsmeer), exporter (Edelman) to the retailer (Intratuin Netherlands). During my work I have noticed that it is quite difficult to position a product well throughout the chain, let alone to convey your brand message to the consumer.

The current trend calls for more sustainable floricultural products and therefore also products with a longer shelf life. The times of increasing numbers for a lower price produces less production for a better price. Products that are produced in a sustainable and fair way become the future.

We now produce more than 20,000 products in the Netherlands, so it is increasingly important that our customers and consumers can navigate in the webshop and on the shop floor in an easy way. It is therefore essential that the needs of the customers are properly identified.

Better informing consumers about our beautiful flowers and plants (story telling) and helping them to enjoy flowers and plants for longer. This means talking to the consumer to find out where the needs lie and what the consumer thinks is important to know about the future.
